Rome SDS / Rome Snowboards has been a serious player on the Snowboard market since 2001 when the brand was founded by Josh Reid and Paul Maravetz. Both Josh and Paul had a lot of experience in marketing and product development in snowboarding.

They choose to start Rome Snowboards since they felt, that the snowboard market was overflowing with mediocre products. Ever since then they have been selling snowboards of the highest quality, and today their products can be found all over the world.

Unlike many snowboard manufacturers, Rome SDS is not a spin-off of a ski company. They do not see snowboarding as a subculture of skiing. They believe that snowboarding is all about the pursuit of having fun on snow.
