Insoles Provide More Comfort on the Ice

Ice skating insoles are worn to provide support and comfort for your feet while on the ice. Ice skates can often be unpleasant to wear due to minimal padding and poor support but adding a pair of insoles or footbeds can improve comfort greatly.

The purpose of ice and figure skating insoles is to secure your feet in the boot and reduce movement. This is done by providing arch support and heel support so that the feet cannot move back or forth, or side to side. It also helps spread the weight of the ice skater across the whole foot reducing pressure spots.
