The Right Snowboard Stance - A Guide for Stance Width & Angles
Are you ready to hit the mountains on your snowboard, but unsure of how to find the perfect stance? Look no further! Our snowboard expert Jacob is here to guide you.
Firstly, let's take a look at the stance width, which refers to the distance between your feet. It's essential to find the sweet spot that's not too wide or too narrow for you. While manufacturers provide reference points with each board, they aren't tailored to you specifically. That's where our tips come in handy!

3 different approaches are in common use to get a measurement to get started:
- A) Take your shoulder width and use this for the distance between the bindings.
- B) Measure the magical distance from the bottom of your feet to the top of your knees.
- C) Jump down from a chair and measure the distance between your feet.
Next up is choosing the right angle for your bindings, which is a dynamic process that changes over time as your riding skills progress and your style evolves. Our expert, Jacob, provides some excellent starting points for finding the right binding angle for beginners and the most common riding styles. However, don't be afraid to experiment and find what works best for you.
