| "I'm 40. Previously fractured my coccyx on a rail. These definitely give me confidence to ride a bit harder. The pros outweigh the cons enough that I wear then every session. I've taken about 5 or 6 medium to heavy slams with these shorts now, so here's my impression: Pros: - I've walked away from heavy slams to my coccyx that would have taken me out for weeks. - very slim, don't notice them under trousers - Well fitted. The don't slide out the way or need much readjusting Cons: - I've unluckily fallen when there is a gap in protection between butt cheek and middle crack pads. Felt like I wasn't wearing any protection. - So hot. End up very swampy after a session (this is a pro in winter)" | |

Protective gear can be tricky sometimes, and it definitely has its disadvantages such as warmth and some unsupported areas, as you mentioned for this particular model.
